Magazine Fitment and Feed Path Checks

A compatibility-focused procedure for separating magazine issues from breech, pusher, or dart issues.

Procedure Notes

Magazine diagnosis deserves its own guide because feed issues are one of the biggest time sinks in hobby support.

Tools Needed

  • At least two known-good magazines
  • Calipers or a straight edge
  • Clean darts
  • Marker for witness marks

Steps

  1. Begin with a known baseline magazine that has fed reliably in another compatible blaster.
  2. Check mag lockup, fore-aft play, and how the top dart presents to the pusher.
  3. Cycle slowly by hand to watch for nose-dives, drag, or uneven feed angles.
  4. Compare results with a second magazine pattern before opening the blaster further.

Troubleshooting Notes

  • If one mag works and another does not, the problem is often compatibility rather than an internal failure.
  • Feed lip wear and internal dirt can mimic major pusher or breech faults.
