Installing SCAR and BCAR Muzzles Without Introducing Alignment Problems

A muzzle-install guide focused on alignment, grouping validation, and avoiding accuracy regressions caused by loose or skewed accessories.

Procedure Notes

These accessories are only improvements when they are aligned. Forge Reference should make that relationship explicit.

Tools Needed

  • Hex drivers
  • Cleaning rod or alignment rod
  • Test darts
  • Chronograph or target setup

Steps

  1. Install the muzzle device squarely and confirm even seating before fully tightening hardware.
  2. Use a rod or visual bore check to confirm the exit path stays centered.
  3. Fire controlled groups before and after installation with the same darts.
  4. Retighten and recheck after transport or hard impacts.

Troubleshooting Notes

  • If grouping worsens immediately, remove the muzzle and retest the blaster bare to confirm the source.
  • Uneven dart wear is a warning sign that the accessory is contacting the dart path incorrectly.
